Dr. E. H. Cowan was called to the late residence of Elias Garner, four miles southeast of Shannondale, in Boone county, on Thursday to make a post mortem examination of Mr. Garner,who died on Wednesday. The results of the examination was that his death was caused by cancer of the stomach.

Tuesday morning Elias Garnder died at his home just over the line in Boone County. Thursday morning a post mortem was held by Dr. Cowan of Crawfordsville and Dr. Burroughs of Shannondale and it was ascertained that the cause of death was cancer of the stomach - transcribed by kbz
